In all the time the 2.2d auto DPF has been around, I have replaced 1DPF for blocking. The car had over 120k miles on its back. I service many low mileage town used 2.2d with no DPF issues at all. Don't believe the hype. The 2.7d is not great, but 2.2d more or less bomb proof. R. Hi folks, I recently acquired this Mazda 6 2.2D and it seems the EGR valve probably needs a good cleaning. I bought some EGR cleaner and I've removed the exhaust which I believe goes from the EGR valve to the intake manifold. It actually wasn't bad at all. I didn't dismantle anything else because I wasn't sure what to remove next. .
