As its name implies, the fuel temperature sensor measures the fuel’s temperature and transmits the appropriate signal to the PCM. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0183 indicates “Fuel Temperature Sensor “A” Circuit High.” The fuel temperature sensor measures the fuel’s temperature and transmits the appropriate signal to the PCM.
Ok, my 2002 Focus Zetec has the temp gauge climb as I drive it above 60 mph. I've replaced the relays and resistor - no help. I even installed the fan mod (both fans always on) and it didn't help. I've had the thermostat changed, radiator flushed & new coolant. Same problem. I'm left with two things - the Cylinder Head sensor or the water pump.
Oil Pan Kit. Threaded/Screw In. Used As Coolant Temp Sensor And Engine Oil Temp Sensor On Some Applications. If your engine coolant temperature sensor has failed, you may notice one of several symptoms: your temperature gauge doesnt move, your engine overheats without warning, your radiator fans don't switch on, or they don't switch off.
I'm trying to locate the cylinder head temperature sensor on my 2014 Ford Fusion 1.5. I already located and changed my coolant tempature sensor. Mechanic's Assistant: Okay, I'll connect you to the Mechanic to help find that for your Ford Fusion. Before I do, is there anything else you want him to know? The vehicle has a false overheating code.
A fault code of P0118 was found with a description of “Engine Coolant temperature sensor circuit high” My first assumption was a fault sensor which was replaced however upon diagnosis the
1 Post (s) Re: Coolant temp sensor location? – 23-01-2013, 12:22 PM. Note. On this model the sensor is a 2 pin device and if the temp gauge indicates 88/90 degrees then the sensor is working. The signal in connected directly to the 'Diesel direct injection system control unit' and a signal sent from there to the gauge.
The P0118 code refers to issues with the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) circuit and its accompanying sensor. The ECT is a thermistor, or an electrical resistor, whose resistance is significantly
8 posts · Joined 2020. #1 · Jan 1, 2022. A P1299 code came up on my 2015 1.6 engine, along with the "Engine high temp, pull over safely" on the display and the temp gauge pegged high. After some research I changed the coolant temp sensor located on the "back" of the engine, meaning the the driver side. When diagnosing, I tried to clear the
Ford Model: fiesta titanium tdci. Ford Year: 2009. UK/Ireland Location: Essex. Posted August 27, 2015. Hi, My heater has an intermittent problem where the heater only blows cold. It is a 2009 titanium with climate control. When I first start the car it will blow cold with the temperature set to high then after a while it will start blowing hot.
I did notice that on Rock Auto it seems like there are three sensors for this vehicle for the cooling system. One is located on the thermostat housing, other is on the radiator and in the rear of the head below the intake manifold. It’s confusing because Rock Auto says they are all coolant temperature sensors. Was this.

You need an inspection mirror to verify whether or not you have a thermostat with a supplemental sensor built into it. The thermostat is located under the intake manifold on the right side of the engine near cyl 1. Follow the lower radiator hose up to the block, and that plastic doomaflatchie is the thermostat.
The ECT sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) is located either in the heater supply tube at the rear of the engine, or in the lower intake manifold. The ECT sensor is a thermistor (changes resistance as temperature changes). The sensor detects the temperature of engine coolant and provides a corresponding signal to the PCM.
